New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy is calling for reinforcements in the state’s escalating battle to halt the spread and treat the victims of COVID-19.
Murphy on Friday asked qualified volunteers with medical training to join the medical personnel already engaged in the fight. “If you have the training, WE NEED YOU,” he tweeted.
The state is encouraging retired doctors and nurses, retired military medical personnel, nursing and medical students, EMTs, and mental health professionals to volunteer.

Murphy also reminded businesses and non-hospital health care facilities to report by today any inventory of personal protective equipment (PPE) not used in critical health care services.
