African American Artists at the Barnes

Recently visited the excellent 30 Americans exhibit of African American artists at the Barnes Foundation. Works in the exhibition, which closes January 12, are drawn from the Rubell Family Collection.

Ride the White Horse Together by Henry Taylor, 2011, made me chuckle because it reminded me of a corner of my basement. (And reminded me that art is everywhere around us.) On the wall is Untitled by Purvis Young, 1995-1999.
